About Us

A brief introduction to Conserve Georgia and links to participating state agencies.

Conserve Georgia’s Land

Georgia is the largest state east of the Mississippi River and our diverse landscape ranges from the Appalachian Plateau in the northwestern corner of the state, to the Blue Ridge Mountains in the northeast, to the Piedmont of the Atlanta area, and to the Coastal Plain and barrier islands in the state’s southeastern corner.

As Georgia continues to grow, more stress is placed on our land resources. By protecting our land and behaving as stewards of our state’s natural resources, we can ensure that the beauty of Georgia’s lands remain for future generations. By recycling and not littering, we can also help conserve our land.

As individuals, we have enormous influence on the land around us. Together, we can help preserve our state’s natural resources for years to come.
